Overnight we've completed a site upgrade that we hope will improve your access to products and get you to the information you want faster. You can now view all the variations on a product (colours, lens kits, etc) on a single page and add these to the basket from there. ED: Extra-Low Dispersion glass
High-quality glass that corrects for chromatic aberration, a type of image and color distortion that occurs when light rays of varying wavelengths pass through optical glass and don't converge or focus at the same point. Nikkor lenses with ED glass deliver superior sharpness and contrast, even at maximum aperture. One of the major advantages and attractions of the dpreview.com site has always been it's objectivity; they didn't sell the cameras they reviewed. Will Amazon's ownership now introduce a conflict of interests or will, as Phil has said, the acquisition provide valuable resources for dpreview.com to grow further?
