Returns & Refunds
Camera Warehouse handles returns and refunds in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Returns Authorisation Required
All returns (including faulty and change-of-mind returns) must be authorised by Camera Warehouse before being sent back.
- Please do not send goods until you have been issued a Return Authorisation (RA) number.
- Returns received without an RA number (or without the RA number clearly shown on the packaging) may be refused and returned to sender.
Return Shipping Costs
Unless required otherwise under ACL, you are responsible for all costs of returning goods to Camera Warehouse and/or the manufacturer (including change-of-mind and warranty returns).
Change-of-Mind Returns (14 Days) — Store Credit Only
Even though we are not obliged to accept change-of-mind returns under ACL, we may (at our discretion) offer a 14-day change-of-mind return on eligible items.
To be eligible for consideration:
- You must request the return within 14 days of the purchase date.
- The product must be unused, unopened, undamaged, and in original packaging.
- Proof of purchase must be provided.
If approved, we will issue a store credit only (no refund).
Discretion & Restocking Fees (Opened / Used Returns)
If the product has been opened or used, we may still consider a return at our discretion. If accepted, the return may be subject to a restocking fee (amount depends on condition, supplier policy, and whether the item can be resold as new).
Exclusions — Not Eligible for Change-of-Mind Returns
Change-of-mind returns are not available for:
- Consumables (including film)
- DSLR / Mirrorless cameras
- Lenses & lens adapters
- Software
- Memory cards
- Special order items (ordered in specifically from a supplier)
- Demo stock
- Runout / clearance / “while stocks last” items
- Items that are faulty or damaged (these are handled under warranty/ACL)
Special Order Items
Special order items may be non-returnable. Where a special order return is approved (at our discretion), it may be subject to supplier approval and/or a restocking fee, or may be refused if the supplier will not accept the return.
Faulty Goods / Warranty Returns
Where goods are faulty, your rights are covered under ACL and applicable manufacturer warranties.
Warranty returns are accepted subject to:
- The product being within the manufacturer’s warranty period
- You having contacted the manufacturer’s helpdesk and obtained a case number / reference
- The item being returned with all original packaging and contents (unless otherwise approved)
- Faults caused by misuse, physical damage, improper use, or normal wear and tear may be rejected and returned to you
Replacements are generally dispatched once the returned item is received and assessed, unless otherwise agreed.
Compatibility / Incompatible Goods
Manufacturers do not guarantee compatibility with third-party equipment. If a product is found to be incompatible with your other equipment but is not faulty, we may accept a return only in accordance with the change-of-mind policy above. We do not offer a trial period.

Shipping Policy
Standard Shipping (Australia-Wide)
- Orders under $98 (incl. GST): $9.90 flat-rate standard shipping
- Orders $98 and over (incl. GST): Free standard shipping (Australian delivery addresses only; excludes bulky items and part-shipped orders.)
Important: Free Shipping Limits
Free standard shipping applies only to new orders that qualify at the time of purchase.
Free shipping does not apply to:
- Replacement orders
- Exchange shipments
- Orders placed using change-of-mind store credit
- Any re-shipment required due to an incorrect purchase decision
Exchanges / Replacement Shipping Fees (Change-of-Mind)
If you are exchanging an item due to change of mind or incorrect purchase:
- You may collect the replacement in-store at no charge, or
- A flat shipping fee of $25 applies for shipping the replacement within Australia (bulky items excluded; freight calculated by destination and size).
Part-Shipping (Split Shipments)
If one or more items in your order are out of stock and you request a partial shipment, an additional fee may apply (usually from $6.95, depending on size and destination).
Bulky Items
Exceptionally large or heavy items incur additional freight charges (e.g. large printers, telescopes, large tripods, studio/background kits, light stands, dry cabinets, paper rolls, hard cases, or multiple-quantity orders).
We will contact you with the shipping cost for bulky items before charging anything extra, and you can choose whether to proceed.
Delivery Timeframes (Guide Only)
- Sydney Metro: 1–3 business days
- ACT / Regional NSW: 2–4 business days
- Major towns VIC/QLD/SA: 2–4 business days
- WA: 3–5 business days
- NT / remote: 5–10 business days
Delivery times may be impacted during peak periods and carrier disruptions.
Dispatch Timeframes
- In-stock orders placed before 1:00pm (business days) usually dispatch same day or next business day.
- Weekend/public holiday orders are processed next business day.
- During peak periods (Black Friday / Christmas / Boxing Day / EOFY), dispatch of in-stock orders may take up to 5 business days.
Shipping Method
We primarily ship via Australia Post eParcel (tracked). Some items may ship direct from a distributor to reduce delays. This does not affect your consumer rights.
Express Shipping
Express shipping is available from $25–$30 up to 5kg (cubic). Overnight delivery is not guaranteed by carriers, but express is prioritised.
PO Boxes & Click & Collect
- PO Box delivery is available.
- Click & Collect is available from 395 Princes Hwy, Rockdale NSW 2216.
Out-of-Stock / Pre-Order / Back-Order Items
Stock availability shown on our website is a guide only and may not always be 100% accurate. If an item in your order is not in stock, we will contact you as soon as possible with an estimated timeframe. Where available, part-shipping can be arranged but may incur additional shipping charges.
