Panasonic welcomes the Lumix DMC TZ100, the Lumix DMC TZ80, and the Leica DG Vario Elmar 100-400mm F4-6.3 Lens

As part of their innovative ideas for life, Panasonic is introducing two Lumix cameras and one Leica lens that will delight Micro Four-Thirds photography enthusiasts.

Features of the Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ100 Digital Compact Camera

Boasting a 20.1-megapixel, 1-inch MOS Sensor, the Lumix DMC TZ100 is perfect for capturing everyday moments. Its 25-250 mm Leica DC Vario-Elmarit Lens is equipped with 10x optical zoom and Live View finder to preview the shots in great detail. The built-in lens has an aperture range of f/2.8-5.9 which makes it dependable even in low-light situations. These features allow the camera to capture 4K-quality photos of up to 30 frames per second.

For those unexpected turn of events that you would like to document, this device also has a Post Focus function that allows you to sharpen the part of the image that you selected. Speaking of sharpening image quality, this new Panasonic Lumix camera also reduces that with the help of its 5-Axis Hybrid Optical Image Stabilizer. Meanwhile, file sharing is a breeze by using its built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.

Despite its compact size, the DMC TZ100 can record 4K Video at 3840 x 2160 and Full HD Video at 1920 x 1080p. For better frame viewing, this item is fused with a Live View Finder that automatically shuts off when the camera is placed in the eyes.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ100 Compact Digital Camera comes in Black and Silver colours. Included in its retail package are a rechargeable battery pack, an AC adaptor, a USB cable, a Hand Strap, a Strap Adaptor, an instructional manual and 12 months warranty with Panasonic Australia. The camera’s dimensions are 111 x 65 x 44 mm or 4.3 x 2.5 x 1.7 inches.

Features of the Panasonic Lumix TZ80 Compact Digital Camera

Though it has an 18.1-megapixel high-sensitivity MOS Sensor, the Panasonic Lumix TZ80 sports an impressive 30x optical zoom that translates to a 24-720 mm focal length. This camera is also capable of 4K Photo and Video capture as well as 1920 x 1080 Full HD Video Recording. Meanwhile, you can control the camera or view the stored media files through the three-inch TFT Touchscreen LCD Display.

The Lumix TZ80 also comes with Depth from Defocus AF Technology that calculates the distance of the items inside the frame to provide faster AF speeds of up to 0.1 seconds and burst shooting speed of up to 5 fps. On the other hand, its low light autofocus and Star Light AF lay the foundation for dramatic moonlight or night sky images.

More on its 4K capabilities, the Lumix TZ80 has 4K Live Cropping which provides stable panning because the recording frame moves even if the camera stays put. This allows the user to zoom in a subject even though it is not in the centre of the frame. Just like the TZ100, the Panasonic Lumix TZ80 4K Compact Digital Camera comes in black and silver colours. Its dimensions are 112 x 64 x 38 mm or 4.4 x 2.5 x 1.5 inches.

Features of the Panasonic Leica DG Vario Elmar 100-400 mm F/4-6.3 ASPH Lens

Made up of 20 elements in 13 groups, the Panasonic Leica DG Vario Elmar 100-400 mm F/4-6.3 ASPH Lens offers the longest range among Micro Four Thirds lenses thanks to its 100-400 mm focal length. This lens is also fused with Lumix 4K Technology to extract 8-megapixel photos from 4K video footages with a touch of a finger. All shots are also made steady by the built-in Mega Optical Image Stabilizer. This Panasonic camera lens is compatible with 72 mm filters.

Sporting a metallic black finish, the lens is made to be dustproof and splash proof to protect the elements inside it including the nine-blade circular aperture which produces smooth bokeh effects. Furthermore, its motor is design to work silently especially in autofocus so as not to draw attention even if you are filming close to the subject. Speaking of autofocus, this Panasonic Leica lens has a 240fps AF drive for faster focusing.

Despite being smaller and lighter than other telephoto zoom lenses, the Panasonic Leica DG Vario Elmar 100-400 mm F/4-6.3 ASPH Lens also has a zoom ring lock, a shift-away lens hood, and an integrated two-part tripod mount which allows the quick transition between portrait and landscape orientations. Even though you chance the orientation, the switches to the Power OIS, Manual Focus, and Focus Limiting are still accessible.
