According to dpreview.com, the replacement for the Olympus E-1 (the E-3) will be available mid-October. No official announcement has been made, as yet, but basic specs are rumoured to be:

10 megapixel resolution
Liveview
in-body image stabilization
5 fps burst
11 area auto-focus

The camera will be built on a weather-proofed full-metal body.
