With its superior 1:1 lifesize image quality in photography, Tamron SP AF 90mm F/2.8 Di Macro Lens w/ Bonus Hoya 55mm UV Filter offers an astounding sharpness complimented by fascinating blur effects. The lens' Ultrasonic Silent Drive generates a smooth and fast AF movement paired  by the DMF (Direct Manual Focus) enabling fine-tuning whenever necessary. There are also two XLD (Extra Low Dispersion) glass elements and one LD (Low Dispersion) element combined to the lens' aperture with 55 Filter Diameter to correct aberrations. It is compatible with APS-C and Full Frame Sensor DSLR Cameras.

Tamron's 90mm macro lens, often referred to as "the portrait macro" and loved by photographers all over the world, is now reborn as a Di lens that is perfect for use with both film and digital cameras. The coating of the lens is improved for digital use.

New Standard of Lenses for Digital Cameras
"Di" (Digitally Integrated Design) is a designation Tamron puts on lenses featuring optical systems designed to meet the performance characteristics of digital SLR cameras as well as film cameras. When mounted on an APS-C size digital SLR camera, it provides a focal length coverage equivalent to 140mm, close to telephoto macro lens.

Improved External Design and Easy Handling Focus Ring
The external design is improved as one of the Di series of lenses. The focusing ring features an improved rubber pattern that fits your hand well and makes the lens easier to handle. The lens is also equipped with a one-touch switchover mechanism to quickly perform one-touch switchover from AF to MF by simply sliding the focus ring back and forth. (For Nikon AF-D and Canon AF mounts only.)

Fine manual focus adjustments can be made quickly and easily
The USD motor is complemented by DMF (Direct Manual Focus) to enable manual fine-tuning after autofocusing if and when necessary. No need to engage a switch – just gently rotate the focus ring on the lens.

New eBAND (extended Bandwidth & ANgular-Dependency) Coating
This new coating technique developed by Tamron deploys a nano-structured* layer with dimensions smaller than the wavelengths of visible rays of light. Its ultra-low refractive index, combined with the sophisticated multiple-layer coatings underneath, yields significant anti-reflection properties, absolutely minimising flare and ghosting to deliver sharp, crisp images.
