Designed to support camera kits weighing up to 2 kg, the Backpacker Kit v2 adapts the Spider X holster system for use with backpack shoulder straps, helping distribute weight more comfortably while keeping the camera instantly accessible during movement.

The system securely holds the camera close to the body, reducing swing and movement while freeing the hands and upper body for climbing, hiking, travel, or active shooting environments.

Selectable Auto-Lock Mode provides added carrying security, while Unlocked Mode enables faster quick-draw access for spontaneous shooting opportunities.

The mounting plate is compatible with many tripod quick release systems, allowing seamless transitions between carrying and tripod use without removing the plate. Its thoughtful design also maintains convenient access to the camera’s battery compartment for efficient battery changes during shoots.

Spider X Backpacker Kit
The Spider X is a versatile camera carrying system that allows you to carry a light to medium weight rig with comfort and ease from either your belt or backpack strap.

You can either clip the Spider X Holster onto any belt, or clip it directly into the Spider Backpack Adapter

If you're using a mirrorless camera + battery grip, you will need the Spider DSLR Plate. COMPATIBILITY NOTICE: This product is not compatible with Spider v3 gear.

Spider X Camera Holster v2
Lightweight and durable, the Spider X Holster v2 delivers strength, security, and seamless functionality in the field. Built to withstand years of heavy use without compromise, the body of the Spider X Holster is made from a durable glass filled composite nylon and has a strong spring steel clip.

The holster features a dual-position locking system designed to give you total control over your workflow:

Position 1: Auto-Lock Mode – As soon as a Spider v2 Plate Pin or other Spider v2 Accessory is inserted, the holster lock automatically engages, securing your camera. To release, lift the lever and remove your camera. The holster will return to its Auto-Lock Mode.

Position 2: Quick-Draw Mode – Push the lever upward until it “clicks” into place, and the holster remains open for quick-draw access. When you’re ready for maximum security again, simply push the lever back down to re-engage the Auto-Lock Mode.

Mirrorless Camera Plate
Light weight and durable, the Spider Mirrorless Camera Plate v2 is designed for mirrorless cameras. The sliding plate design accommodates most mirrorless camera bodies and does not block the battery door.

The plate attaches to the camera's 1/4"x20 tripod mount, and features anti-slip rubber pads for stable, secure install, and an anti-twist Spider pin for added security.

The Spider Mirrorless Camera Plate has built-in compatibility for Arca-Swiss style tripods, and acts as an Arca Swiss tripod adapter. It can also be used with other style tripod adapter plates.

This plate has (1) built-in 1/4"x20 mount that you can attach your tripod plate / quick release into. This eliminates the need to take our plate off to attach your gear!

Spider Plate Pin v2
Made from CNC stainless steel, the SpiderPro Plate Pin v2 is specifically for use on the Spider DSLR Plate v2 / Mirrorless Plate v2 / Lens Collar Plate v2 / Pro Clamp v2 and eliminates the issues with threaded pins, such as becoming unthreaded over time.

We do not recommend removing the Spider Pin unless it becomes damaged and needs to be replaced.
- The Spider Pin on this camera plate is pre-installed with threadlocker to ensure a secure hold.

Spider Backpack Adapter
The Backpack Adapter fastens to your backpack's strap, or the front of the Adapter can be looped through any casual belt. The camera pad on the Backpack Adapter has an elastic velcro strap, this is used to secure the camera lens when not in use, preventing excessive camera bounce while also protecting against scuffing.

- The Spider X Holster can also be removed from the adapter and fastened to any belt for use on the hip. You can also use the entire Backpacker kit with any belt.

- The Backpack Adapter is compatible with SpiderLight or Spider X Camera Holsters and allows you to easily and securely clip your holster into the Backpack Adapter.

- The Backpack Adapter is compatible with our AS2 (Arca Swiss) Adapter Plate, and our AS-RC2 (Arca Swiss / Manfrotto RC2) Adapter Plate. Attach the plate to your camera and slide it into Backpack Adapter as an alternative way to carry on the go!

GoPro Compatible Adapter Plate
This adapter plate pairs with our Spider Backpack Adapter, and will pair with GoPro style brackets and camera cases.

Are you using a Mirrorless Camera + Vertical Grip?
If you are using a mirrorless camera with a vertical grip, you will need to use one of our DSLR Camera Plates instead of the Mirrorless Camera Plate. We also have a DSLR Single Camera System and DSLR Dual Camera System that include these plates.
