The ECMVG1 is a lightweight shotgun microphone with switchable low-cut filter and phantom powered. The ECMVG1 is designed for use on film, television and documentaries. It is the ideal microphone for use in noisy environments such as motor sports events or windy locations.

The ECMVG1's high sensitivity requires less gain and its smooth tone will reproduce the voice clearly without sounding harsh. This makes it ideal for use on stage as well as in live recording situations where there may be high background noise or wind noise coming from nearby fans or air conditioners. The Furry Windshield minimizes wind noise while the Ultralightweight Metal Body reduces handling noise and offers a stable position when held against a boom pole or stand.

A furry windshield is included with each ECMVG1 microphone to eliminate wind noise that can occur when recording outdoors with a shotgun microphone.

Built-in Low-cut Filter
The built-in two-position (M, V) low-cut switch provides a simple method of reducing the effects of unwanted ambient noise.

External DC (40 to 52 V) Operation
The ECM-VG1 provides an electronically balanced output operation on 48 V standard external power.

Innovative Windscreen
The ECM-VG1 is supplied with an innovative windscreen that has an internal frame to rigidly fix the windscreen, creating a space between the microphone and the outside part of the windscreen that helps suppress strong wind noise. It also protects the ECM-VG1 from contact noise in harsh operational environments such as outdoor shooting.
