The Sony ECM-G1 is a large capsule shotgun microphone optimized for vloggers and content creators. This cardioid directional microphone features a supercardioid pickup pattern that minimizes background noise while picking up the intended source. The large-diameter 14.6mm mic capsule is paired with an extremely sensitive preamp to provide high sensitivity and low noise. The ECM-G1 has a frequency response of 50 Hz - 20,000 Hz.

The body of the Sony ECM-G1 is made from aluminum to provide durable construction, and it comes in at less than 4 inches long when collapsed. The microphone includes an anti-vibration mount and furry windshield that reduces wind noise when recording outdoors. It comes with its own 3.5mm TRS cable so you can use it right away with your camera or smartphone, or connect it to any device with a 3.5mm input jack.
