The Drop-In Circular Polarizing Filter from Sony is a circular polarizing filter that fits the Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS lens. When attached to the front of your lens, this filter reduces haze in landscapes and provides greater color saturation with improved contrast. It also helps to eliminate reflections and glare when shooting water scenes or other situations where light may reflect off of non-metallic surfaces. The filter can be rotated to adjust the effect so you can choose between a maximum polarization effect or a minimum polarization effect depending on your needs.
The drop-in circular polarizer filter delivers excellent optical performance, including high clarity and color fidelity. It's constructed from optical glass for durability and has an anti-reflection coating applied to each side of the glass to minimize ghosting and flare caused by reflections within the filter itself. The filter's front ring is threaded for use with a lens cap or hood, and it has front threads for attaching a compatible filter holder (sold separately).
Included with this circular polarizer are a carrying pouch and protective case designed specifically for its size.
