Sky-Watcher AZEQ6 GT Tripod

The Sky-Watcher AZEQ6 GT Tripod is an ultimate mount with finest stability and pointing precision for a wide range of heavy professional photo and video equipment and can be used as both an EQ mount, or in AZ mode. It features hybrid stepper motor drives on both axes for smooth slewing at up to 4.2^o. It is capable of interchanging tripod modes from Equatorial and Alt-Az and holding a payload capacity of 20 kg (counterweight excluded). The Mount weight (without tripod) is at 15kg. Its mount has dual camera shutter control ports: the ST-4 style autoguider port input for astrophotography, and a DSLR shutter control port. The tripod mount also features fully automatic and manual (dual encoders Freedom FindTM) which offers the tripod to be moved manually or electronically in either axis without losing its alignment or positional information.and precision worm gearing combined with smooth belt transmission.

Optimal stability and pointing accuracy
The Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ6 SynScan gives optimal stability and pointing accuracy for a wide variety of heavy professional photo and video equipments. It is a hybrid mount with alt-azimuth capability for general use, and equatorial capability for astrophotography use. Supplied with a SynScan handset with dual AZ/EQ firmware, it can automatically find and track 42,900+ celestrial objects from its database. 

Efficient transportable mount
AZ-EQ6 SynScan is capable of carrying heavy-duty photographic equipments for professional shooting and video recording. It is a very efficient transportable mount weighing only 15 kg, for a load capacity of 20 kg (counterweight excluded).  

Freedom Find™ - tracking made easy!
With the patented Freedom Find (dual-encoder) technology which allows the telescope to be moved manually or electronically in either axis without losing its alignment or positional information. After moving to a new object the telescope will automatically begin to track the new object accurately. No re-setup is required in one observing session.
