The Sky-Watcher 80/600 ED Doublet OTA Refractor is an ideal telescope for wide field astrophotography, providing a short tube in a compact design giving a sharp, high-contrast image in every view. The aperture with 80mm Diameter and 600mm Focal Length provides enough luminescence to guarantee enough light into the field of view. Its ED optics provide colour aberration-free image and the high-quality Schott glass improves the contrast of the images all throughout the optics. The telescope’s tube is armed with a tough 2 inch Crayford focuser with 1:11 ratio for fine focusing.

Lunar and Planetary viewing
Refractor telescopes are excellent for Lunar and Planetary viewing as they offer very crisp and sharp images.

Excellent vistas
It can provide excellent vistas of star fields, clusters, nebulae, galaxies, planets, the Moon and (with correct filtering or by projection) the Sun. It is also a fine terrestrial telescope when mounted on an alt-azimuth mount or a photographic tripod. Crisp images at a reasonable price make it an excellent beginner's "first telescope", or a great travelling telescope for a more advanced observer.
