The Ultimate Lens for Portraits and More
The Sigma 135mm F1.8 DG HSM Art is a fast telephoto lens for the full-frame L-Mount system. It features a hypersonic floating focus mechanism to give outstanding speed and extremely stable performance. It has nine rounded aperture blades, weather sealing, and an 88cm minimum focus distance. The art lens is ideal for various photographic subjects, especially portrait photography, both in-studio and on-location. Read on for more detailed information.
Ultimate 135mm telephoto featuring top-level performance
Minimizing axial chroatic aberration makes the bokeh effect impressive and beautiful, while delivering superb contrast and sharp image quality for each shot. Incorporating the latest innovations in design and optical glass, plus rethinking all aspects of the lens, SIGMA guarantees outstanding image quality all the way to its edges, establishing a higher standard in 135mm telephoto lenses.
Optimized AF for the L-Mount System
It has an AF drive control program and high-speed communication that is specifically tuned for each lens, shooting at high speed precision where AF control is readily achieved. The lenses can also support the AF-C mode.
Compatible with In-Camera Image Stabilization
It is compatible with in-camera image stabilization. This means the camera automatically detects the focal length of each lens while optimizing its image stabilization performance.
Data Pre-loaded for Ultimate Compatibility with In-Camera Aberration Correction
The lens is fully compatible with in-camera aberration correction, which are corrections for chromatic aberrations, distortion, and peripheral illumination. Through correction matching with optical characteristics, this function takes image quality to a much higher level.
Native Mount for Better Stability and More Rigid Feel
By making the lens mount native, it gives users a more stable and rigid feel to the lens compared to using an adapter. It features a surface treatment to enhance strength, while the brass bayonet mount offers an exceptional durability and high-precision fit. Furthermore, the mount connection area has incorporated rubber sealing for weather-proof construction.
SIGMA Mount Coversion Service Made Available
This service allows conversion of specifications of the mount of SIGMA lenses to match that of a different camera body. Photographers now have the option of tailoring their favorite lenses to the camera body if they want to get a new one in the future. This allows them to continue using their favorite lenses over the long term not withstanding the kind of camera system used.
