This is made possible by its F16 min to F1.4 max aperture and 77mm diameter filter. This natural feel is further improved by SLD and molded glass aspherical lens elements that eliminate aberrations and super multi-layer lens coating that prevents flare and ghosting. The HSM-driven auto-focus and 7-bladed rounded diaphragm works hand in hand, the former performing quick smooth auto-focus and the latter turning off-focus areas into attractive bokeh. Conveniently, this Sigma 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM is equipped with a petal-type hood that can be extended through a dedicated hood adapter, giving the user defence against harmful extraneous light, leaving nothing but the needed natural lighting for your ideal natural photography. This lens is compatible with APS-C Lens and Full Frame DSLR Cameras.

This large aperture medium telephoto lens ensures a natural perspective. The attractive blur of F1.4 is ideal for portrait, landscape and low light photography. SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass and a molded glass aspherical lens element provide excellent correction of all types of aberrations. High image quality is assured throughout the entire focusing range and the Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting. This lens provides sharp and high contrast images even at the maximum aperture of F1.4. The incorporation of HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) provides fast and quiet autofocus and the rounded 9 blade diaphragm creates an attractive blur to the out of focus areas of the image.

This large aperture medium telephoto lens ensures a natural perspective and creates an attractive blur. The large maximum aperture of F1.4, narrow depth of field and attractive blur make this lens ideal for portrait and also low light photography. The lens effectively becomes a large aperture 127.5mm medium telephoto when used with APS-C size digital SLR cameras.

One SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element is used for effective compensation of chromatic aberration. The molded glass aspherical lens element provides excellent correction of spherical aberration and sagittal coma flare. This minimizes distortion and ensures high image quality.

Dedicated Hood Adapter HA850-02 (Supplied)
A Petal-type-Hood which prevents extraneous light from degrading of the image quality is supplied as standard. A Hood adapter extends the length of the lens hood and provides more effective shading when used with digital cameras with an APS-C size image sensor.
*When using the APS-C Hood Adapter HA850-02 with digital cameras with larger than APS-C size image sensor, vignetting will occur. Please remove the hood adapter if you are using these cameras.
