Rode M3 Dual-power Condenser Microphone

The M3 is an extremely versatile microphone that is at home on location, in the studio, or wherever a low-noise wide-response cardioid condenser microphone is needed. It features a heavy duty metal body with heat treated high-strength mesh head and internal 1/2" condenser capsule shock mount. It also has an on mic selectable high pass filter @ 80Hz-12dB/Oct (-10 and -20dB PAD) with high level of RF rejection. It runs in dual power via 9V Battery Power and 24 - 48V phantom power. Battery indicator gives you the status of the microphone’s power.

Versatile end-address condenser microphone
The RØDE M3 is a highly versatile end-address condenser microphone, designed to be completely at home in the studio, on stage or on location. It is equally suitable as an instrument microphone for guitars, drums and percussion or even vocals.

Internally shock mounted 1/2" condenser capsule
Featuring a heavy duty metal body and internally shock mounted 1/2" condenser capsule mounted for end-address, the M3 can be powered either via P48 phantom power, or an internal 9V battery.

Selectable -10dB and -20dB level attenuator (pad)
A -10dB and -20dB level attenuator (pad), selectable from inside the battery compartment, allows recording of loud sound sources, such as a guitar amplifier or snare drum. A high-pass filter selectable on the microphone power switch introduces a filter at 80Hz to reduce low frequency sounds and handling noise. 

Ergonomically designed all-metal body
The M3's ergonomically designed all-metal body is engineered for maximum comfort when used as a handheld microphone. It feels robust, solid and perfectly balanced without being heavy, and handling noise is almost completely eliminated by the microphone's internal design.

Featuring a warm response that is incredibly defined for a dynamic microphone, the M3's smooth character and defined clarity offer incredible performance as a live vocal microphone. A tightly controlled cardioid polar pattern minimises spill and feedback.
