Low light performance was one of the weak points of the previous 360 camera. The updated dual 1-inch CMOS sensor allows for an impressively improved low light performance. The lenses of the camera feature an improved design with less ghosting, fringing, and flares. Aperture can be selected from f/2.1, f/3.5, and f/5.6. In addition to JPEG photos, the THETA Z1 can capture Adobe DNG raw files, giving photographers greater flexibility in editing to produce higher-quality results. Other specs and features include 19GB of built-in storage, 4-channel mics, 3-axis rotational stabilization, a Function (Fn) button, and 360-degree live streaming in 4K or 2K.

4K Recording and Live Streaming
Records natural 360° images using approx. 23MP (6720 x 3360, 7k) still images shooting and highly accurate image stitching.
Dual 1-inch CMOS Image Sensor
The camera demonstrates superior noise reduction performance even when shooting at night or indoors with low light due to the equipped 1.0-inch back-illuminated CMOS images sensor.
F2.1, F3.5 and F5.6 Aperture Selection
Using a newly developed lens unit which reduces ghosting, flare and purple fringe. Aperture mechanism is newly adopted with the selection of F2.1, F3.5 and F5.6. By closing down the aperture, higher resolution is achieved.
Supports various shooting modes.
It is possible to save RAW (DNG) format for the first time in THETA series. You can also save in JPEG at the same time.
