The rounded diaphragm blades provide a more circular aperture for beautiful, smooth bokeh even at large aperture setting. SMC DA 50mm F1.8 Camera Lens has a 52mm filter size and SP (Super Protect) coating to not only prevent dust, water and grease, but also to easily remove them from the surface. The lens’ lightweight design is so compact and portable that it only weighs 122 grams and measures only 38.5mm. It is compatible only with APS-C DSLR Cameras.

When mounted on a PENTAX K-mount interchangeable-lens digital camera body, this medium-telephoto lens offers an equivalent focal length of approximately 76.5mm in the 35mm format, offering a moderate-telephoto perspective perfect for portraiture with a smooth, beautiful bokeh effect in the background and snapshots cropping a part of the subject. Its front surface is treated with the PENTAX-original SP (Super Protect) Coating to not only repel dust, water and grease, but also allow easy removal of grease adhering to the surface. Thanks to its large F1.8 maximum aperture, the lens can easily produce images with a very shallow depth of field.
