The K-1 II J Limited 01 comes with numerous changes compared to the mass-produced K-1 II. The Limited version must be hand-built due to the special color painting and parts changes, which cannot be performed in mass production. The Scarlet Rouge Model colour has both gorgeousness and nobility. With a unified black tone and a glossy body color, it exudes fearlessness and beauty.
The K-1 II J Limited 01 has a custom wood grip carved from North American walnut. The grip is hand-finished by craftsmen from Miroku Techno Wood Co., Ltd. The grip also has a special 'J Limited 01' mark applied. Furthermore, Citizen Watch Co., Ltd.'s surface hardening technology, Duratect Gold, is applied to the lens mount to improve surface hardness and give the mount a more sophisticated, elegant appearance. A PENTAX technology to produce high-quality images beyond the power of total pixels
PENTAX's Pixel Shift Resolution System II* is the super-solution technology which realizes image resolving power and color reproduction far better than that of the conventional Bayer system. By taking advantage of the camera's SR II mechanism, it captures four images of the same scene by slightly shifting the image sensor for each image, obtaining all RGB color data and luminance data from each pixel, then synthesizing them into a single, super-high-resolution composite image. It not only improves image resolving power, but also prevents the generation of false color, reduces high-sensitivity noise, and greatly improves image quality.

SR II in-body shake reduction mechanism. Five-axis, five-shutter-step camera shake compensation
The PENTAX-original sensor-shift-type shake reduction mechanism has been upgraded to provide optimum compensation for all lenses used in handheld shooting. The new-generation SR II (Shake Reduction II) features a five-axis mechanism to compensate for camera shake caused by horizontal and vertical shift (often generated in macro photography) and camera shake caused by roll, which is difficult to handle by lens-installed shake reduction mechanisms, in addition to more common camera shake caused by pitch and yaw. The SR II unit is controlled with great precision as soon as the camera's power is turned on, and provides a wide compensation range - as much as five shutter steps - to expand the limits of handheld shooting.

It is also possible to copy an image stored on one card to another.

Red SP gives a splendid look with beautiful hand-blown gradation. Sumi Black is dyed with high-grade ink from Sumiundo Co., Ltd., a long-established store in Nara that has been making ink for the second year of its founding culture (1805).

Design
Original custom parts that can easily change the impression of the pentaprism part, which occupies a large weight in camera design. J limited 01 comes with two top covers, a top cover A carved from a brass block and a top cover B made of engineering plastic. A special hot shoe cover made of machined stainless steel makes it possible to attach and detach it from the camera body. The two types of top covers have different designs as well as different materials, which is a new proposal that expands the range of enjoyment for users.
