The smc PENTAX-DA* 16-50mm f/2.8 ED AL[IF]SDM wide angle zoom lens brings the highest level of optical superiority and contains SDM technology for fast, accurate, quiet autofocus. Bringing together advanced optical technologies, including aspherical elements, special optical-glass elements and original SP (Super Protect) lens coatings, these new interchangeable lenses are superior to any existing lens series in terms of contrast, clarity and edge-to-edge sharpness. Quick Shift Focus System is features for easy and quick switching from autofocus to manual operation. A new SDM system has been integrated for smoother, quieter autofocusing operation with a built-in supersonic motor. This lens also features aperture of f/2.8 and focal length of 16-50mm which is equivalent to 24.5mm - 76.5mm in the 35mm format. It is compatible only with APS-C DSLR Cameras.
