This fixed focal length standard lens has a focal length of 8.5mm equivalent to 47mm in the 35mm format. This lens offers a perspective as same with the human eye, it can be used for daily-use as standard lens for many different subjects including portraiture and landscape. Having a maximum aperture of F1.9, it not only performs beautifully in low lit locations, but also makes it easy to throw the background out of focus. It incorporates two high grade aspherical optical elements to reduce various aberrations to a minimum and the PENTAX lens coating technology is intended for beautifully defined, high contrast images with minimal flare. Its Neutral Density filter lets an open aperture photography with bright settings.
