Built-in Live ViewFinder. 1,166k-dot Equivalent.
Viewfinder concentration helps capture the best possible images. With the LVF designed into the GM5, capturing superior images is assured with 1,166k-dot equivalent resolution and approximately 100%* color reproduction. By more faithfully reproducing the primary colors, the GM5 LVF clearly displays beautiful, more true-to-life hues.

A Better Photo with Greater Clarity
The large, 16-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor enables both high-resolution and high-sensitivity image recording with far less noise. The Venus Engine in the GM5 features an advanced noise reduction system to consistently produce clearer, smoother image quality particularly when capturing subjects and scenery at night. This intelligent combination of Live MOS Sensor and Venus Engine achieves maximum ISO25600.
Silent Mode
The innovative Silent Mode switches the shutter from mechanical in an instant, and turns off all sound (AF, operation) while suppressing the AF assist lamp and flash with a single setting for special shooting opportunities.
Focus Peaking
Focus Peaking indicates the peak of focus in MF and AF+MF mode. This convenient function is also available in remote photo/video shooting when using a smartphone or tablet via WiFi.
Eye Sensor AF
Image output between the Live View Finder and rear monitor is automatically switched by the eye sensor on the LVF. This same sensor also accommodates the Eye Sensor AF, which starts auto-focusing automatically by simply looking into the LVF to prevent missed shooting opportunities.
Fast, Accurate AF
By exchanging digital signals between camera and lens at a maximum of 240 fps, the smart Contrast AF system excels in both speed and accuracy. The GM5 also delivers high-speed burst shooting at 5.8 fps in 16-megapixel resolution, and a maximum of 40 fps with the electronic shutter.
Low Light AF
The Low Light AF advantage makes it possible to focus on any subject more precisely in -4EV situations, such as shooting at night with no other light source than a starry sky.
Face/Eye Detection AF
In addition to a conventional Face Recognition AF, the Face/Eye Detection AF incorporated in the GM5 automatically adjusts the focus precisely on a subject's face or eye.
Pinpoint AF
This handy feature can incrementally set magnification from 3x to 10x in 0.1x steps. Ideal for precision focus setting on subject aspect, such as flowers or the pupil of an eye.

The GM5 includes WiFi connectivity for easy image sharing with the Panasonic Image App. By simply scanning the QR code displayed on the camera monitor with a smartphone or tablet it's also easy to use a mobile device as a remote controller for the GM5.
