The DMC-FH25 features a 28 mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens with 8x optical zoom (35 mm camera equivalent: 28-224 mm). The 28 mm wide-angle lens lets you easily capture large groups of people indoors or expansive architectural structures. The 8x optical zoom lens gives you highly natural expressions from people and animals that you can’t get close to, with a 16.1-megapixel resolution.

With the Intelligent Resolution technology, three areas (outlines, detailed texture areas and soft gradation areas) are automatically detected. Apart from the uniform enhancement of sharpness, this technology precisely performs signal processing pixel by pixel in the most effective way. As a result, images are clear and crisp. The Intelligent Zoom extends zoom ratio by approximately 1.3x, while the 8x optical zoom can virtually extend to 10x equivalent.

Intelligent Auto ensures perfect shots every time
In iA (Intelligent Auto) mode, advanced detection functions work automatically and simultaneously to optimise your settings, making it easier than ever to take beautiful photos every time. iA mode includes MEGA OIS to detect hand-shake, Intelligent ISO Control to detect subject movement, and Face Detection Auto Focus/Auto Exposure (AF/AE) to detect faces in the frame. AF Tracking continually tracks a moving subject and keeps it in focus, Intelligent Scene Selector works to detect scene conditions and Intelligent Exposure detects the brightness level.

Create high-definition movies and then upload to your favourite social networking site
Record motion pictures in high definition (1,280 x 720 pixels at 24 fps in Motion JPEG format). The DMC-FH25 can also upload photos and movies onto Facebook and YouTube. All you have to do is checkmark the photos and movies you want to share and connect the camera to your computer. Uploading automatically starts just by following the on screen instructions. The large 2.7 inch LCD features high 230,000-dot resolution Intelligent LCD. It automatically adjusts the brightness according to shooting conditions. This LCD provides sharp, clear images in virtually all shooting situations, ranging from night-time to bright daylight scenes. The High-angle mode makes the display extremely easy to view from a low angle, for example, when taking photos by raising your hand upward to capture the subject over the crowd.
