Olympus PT-EP01 Underwater Housing

Designed for the Olympus Pen E-PL1, the PT-EP01 underwater housing maximizes the compactness and weight minimization design advantages that are inherent to the Micro Four Thirds System camera standard; the first in the world. It is made to be waterproof up to 45m and has a monitoring window for you to see if there is water penetration. It features large buttons for easy camera operation. The two fibre-optic cables provides the housing’s capability for external flash operation. The case is made of a durable Polycarbonate body.

World's first waterproof housing for a Micro Four Thirds camera
The PT-EP01 underwater case has been especially customized for one camera of the PEN family, the E-PL1. It is the world's first waterproof housing for a Micro Four Thirds camera.

Extremely light weight
The extreme light weight PT-EP01 (only approximately 1100g, just half as much as the PT-E06) is waterproof up to a water pressure equivalent to a depth of 40 meters.

Live View function
As a genuine advantage to the underwater photographer, you can make use of the Live View function on the one hand, but it is also possible to attach the electronic Viewfinder to the E-PL1 and use it underwater.

Semitransparent rear
Additionally the PT-EP01 has a small, but very important feature at the backside cover. The back is semitransparent and has a further monitoring window just below the LCD window, which allows you to detect any water leakage before having serious material damage.

Full of possibility
The PT-EP01 has a fix lens port and supports the use of the M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 and the M.Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm 1:4.0-5.6. Besides the possible flash connection the PT-EP01 offers the use of a macro lens adapter (PMLA-EP01) to attach the macro lens (PTMC-01) for special macro photography.
