Product Features in Detail

5-axis image stabilisation delivers blur-free images

The 5-axis image stabilisation on the E-M10 Mark III reduces camera shake in any situation for blur-free, high-quality images.

Top-class stabilisation performance[*]

The OM-D E-M10 Mark III features in-body 5-axis image stabilisation for the best stabilisation performance in its class. This feature powerfully suppresses camera shake which tends to occur when shooting at night or in dark indoor settings, and when using a telephoto lens, making it easy for anyone to enjoy photography, anywhere, anytime.
*4 shutter speed steps of compensation performance, lens: M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ, focal length: 42mm (35mm equivalent focal length: 84mm), CIPA standard compliant, when correction is carried out on two axes (Yaw/Pitch)

Reduces camera shake no matter the lens[*]

The major advantage of in-body image stabilisation is that it delivers 5-axis image stabilisation no matter what lens is attached. It compensates for camera roll which cannot be compensated for by an in-lens stabilisation system, and also for shifting which tends to occur during macro shooting.
*Micro Four Thirds/Four Thirds lenses

Capture beautiful handheld 4K video

The E-M10 Mark III is capable of recording 4K video. Although camera shake is usually more noticeable in 4K video, the powerful 5-axis image stabilisation makes it possible to record beautiful video handheld. It is also possible to extract and save still images from recorded 4K video.

Supporting the lens, imaging sensor, and image processor

Image quality is generally determined by three components: lens, imaging sensor, and image processor. The E-M10 Mark III is equipped with the same TruePic VIII image processor as the  flagship E-M1 Mark II, delivering beautiful image quality even when shooting in dark locations. But if camera shake occurs, the image will be blurred despite the above components delivering a high quality image. In that sense, the 5-axis image stabilisation supports those components in delivering high image quality, by keeping the image blur-free.

Classic and easy-to-use design

The portable, compact, lightweight camera is even easier to use than ever before.

Sophisticated body design with comfortable operation

Each and every detail of the camera body is designed for ease of use and comfortable operation even for first-time users of interchangeable lens cameras. The superb grip and large dials, arrow pad for calling out functions, and default functions printed on the Fn1/Fn2 (function) buttons all come together in a sophisticated, classically designed camera.

Compact, lightweight design for high portability

The E-M10 Mark III weighs a mere 410 g (CIPA compliant). The body is significantly smaller and lighter than other SLR cameras in its class, and light enough so you can take it anywhere without worrying about weight.

CS-51B Genuine Leather Body Jacket

This is a genuine leather body jacket designed specifically for the OM-D E-M10 Mark III. Enjoy a unified look when pairing it with CSS-L109LL II Genuine Leather Strap and LC-60.5GL Genuine Leather Lens Jacket.

Features useful in any photo opportunity

This model is equipped with a tilting touch panel LCD monitor, electronic viewfinder, and built-in flash. Such features make a camera that can deliver in any photo opportunity.

Touch panel for intuitive control

The rear monitor features a tilting touch panel LCD monitor. Simply touch the screen for convenient touch operations such as changing settings and adjusting the focus target position. Enjoy intuitive operation similar to a smartphone.

Tilting LCD for easy low and high angles

Because you can change the angle of the tilting LCD, shooting at low or high angles is incredibly easy. Adjust the monitor so it is easier to see so you do not have to assume an awkward position.

An EVF helps capture scenes exactly the way you see them

This model is equipped with a high-definition, 2.36-million-dot electronic viewfinder (EVF) that displays the same view as is displayed on the rear monitor. The field of view is 100%, meaning that the composition you view in the EVF is exactly the same as the composition of the resulting photo.

Built-in flash for beautifully capturing people and backgrounds

The pop-up built-in flash is convenient for scenes with high contrast variations. When shooting people against a nightscape, the built-in flash allows you to capture both the subject and the background beautifully This flash can also be used in backlit daytime scenes by lightening up the subject's face.

The shortcut button gives easy access to shooting settings

Simply press the shortcut button to display the mode selection screen or shooting setting screen when you want to change shooting settings.

Full array of automatic shooting features

A full array of automatic shooting features makes producing creative photos easy even for novice users of interchangeable lens cameras.

Four shooting modes to choose from

Select from Auto, Scene, Advanced Photo and Art Filter modes. Set to Auto to leave the adjustments up to the camera, or use one of the other modes to get creative.

Further advanced Auto mode

Select Auto mode and leave detailed settings up to the camera. Simply snap the shutter to easily capture beautiful photos. The powerful 5-axis image stabilisation prevents the image from being blurred by camera shake, and the same TruePic VIII image processor as used on the E-M1 Mark II lets you capture moving subjects even in dark locations, so you can shoot confidently in Auto mode

Scene mode is even easier to use

Select one of six different themes in the new scene mode to capture photos that most resemble the next scene you want to shoot. This feature makes it easy to activate the optimal settings for shooting.

Advanced Photo mode makes advanced shooting techniques easy

Advanced Photo mode delivers artistic photos with varied expressions only possible on an interchangeable lens camera. Enjoy advanced shooting methods such as Live Composite, Multi Exposure, and Live Time via simple operation.

Never miss a moment with super-fast AF

The AF system focuses on subjects in an instant. Easy operation ensures you never miss a moment.

Touch AF Shutter for intuitive control

Touch AF Shutter provides intuitive control that lets you focus and shoot simply by touching the subject on the screen.

121-point AF for a wide focusing area

The E-M10 Mark III is equipped with the 121-point AF system employed on the E-M1 Mark II, securing a larger focus area. Press the shutter button halfway while using S-AF (All Target) to display green focusing frames that indicate which areas of the screen are in focus.

Face/Eye Priority AF

The Face/Eye Priority AF, which detects and focuses on the subject’s face or eye closer to the camera, is available on the E-M10 Mark III. Focusing on eyes can make faces look more beautiful in photos.

C-AF focuses continuously on moving subjects

Because AF is constantly functioning while the shutter button is pressed halfway in C-AF, you can continue focusing on subjects while shooting. The subject is already in focus when you release the shutter, ensuring you never miss a moment.

8.6-fps high-speed sequential shooting captures split-second expressions

The E-M10 Mark III is equipped with 8.6-fps high-speed sequential shooting capability. This makes it possible to capture split-second expressions on fast-moving subjects.
*The sequential shooting speed is the same as Sequential H (no AF tracking). A maximum sequential shooting speed of approximately 4.8 fps is possible in Sequential L (with AF tracking).
*Pictures are for illustrative purposes only.
*Screen captures in the monitor are composite images.

Connect and share easily with Wi-Fi

The OM-D E-M10 Mark III features built-in Wi-Fi. With this feature you can import photos to a smartphone and easily share them with family and friends.

Olympus Image Share app makes connecting easy

The built-in Wi-Fi and downloadable Olympus Image Share (OI.Share) smartphone app can be used together to easily connect the camera to a smartphone and import photos. Location information can also be added to photos.

Easy connection using a QR code

Simply scan the QR code displayed on the camera screen to connect the camera and smartphone.

Instantly transfer and share after shooting

Transfer photos and movies to smartphones on the spot. You can easily upload images to social media.

Add GPS information to photos

You can add GPS information acquired on a smartphone to photos. You can also enjoy displaying photos along with map data.

Shoot remotely from a smartphone

Olympus Image Share is also equipped with a remote shooting feature. This feature is convenient for shooting group photos which you are part of. Confirming composition on the smartphone screen and release the shutter from the smartphone.
