The high-quality ZUIKO DIGITAL 50mm 1:2.0 Macro lens offers an equivalent range of 100mm on a 35mm film camera. 

Special macro photography lens
This is a special macro photography lens designed for use with the Macro flash system but also equally good in normal use. Its 2.0 maximum aperture gives it great light-gathering power. The lens includes an ED element for sharp, brilliant colour images.

Half life size magnification
It offers a magnification of 1:2 (half life size), which has an image magnification size equivalent to life size (1:1) in a 35mm film photo.

ED lens
ED lens greatly reduce chromatic aberrations to provide the high image quality with high-resolution and good contrast. In combination with the EX-25 Extension Tube, it can focus approx. 1x (equivalent to 2x on a 35mm camera).

Compatible with Micro Four Thirds digital cameras
Directly compatible with E-System cameras. Compatible with Micro Four Thirds digital cameras (PEN\OM-D) through use of the MMF-2 or MMF-3 (Four Thirds Lens Adapter to Micro Four Thirds Lens Adapter). The MMF-3 is dust and splash proof for use with that type of lens on a dust and splash proof body. Note, AF performance may diminish as compared to being on an E-System body.
