There's nothing better than a camera that focuses on being well-rounded for both your stills and video needs. That's what Nikon had in mind when they designed the Nikon Z 5. Featuring a powerful 24.3 MP CMOS sensor paired with an EXPEED 6-image processor, you can get great, dynamic shots with a wide sensitivity of 51200 while enjoying full UHD 4K video at 30FPS

However, specifications don't always translate to exceptional response and capability. Yet, Nikon Z 5 makes life easier for photographers with its 273 selectable AF points. Doing so allows them to respond to any situation and take the best stills and video possible. The advanced Nikon Z 5 AF uses a hybrid focusing system that utilizes both phase and contrast detection, which helps it achieve high-speed, accurate focusing and subject tracking.

There's no use for full-frame mirrorless cameras that can't adapt to any environmental situation. In this light, the Nikon Z 5's sleek design can adapt to any inclement weather thanks to its magnesium alloy chassis and dust and moisture-proof construction. Furthermore, you can set up a wide variety of shots thanks to its high-resolution 3.6m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and rear 3.2" 1.04m-dot tilting touchscreen LCD. This kit comes with the Nikon Nikkor Z 50mm Macro f/2.8 Lens.

Product Features in Detail

Your full-frame mirrorless journey starts here.
Push the limits of your creativity with Z 5, an innovative full frame mirrorless camera built around Nikon’s revolutionary Z mount. Compact yet powerful, simple yet sophisticated, it’s ready to grow with you. Whatever your skill level, the Z 5 delivers detailed imagery, precision autofocus and the tools you need to be as creative as possible.

The full picture.
Harness the entire view of expansive full frame lenses, and capture over 50% more image area than crop-sensor cameras. Z 5’s 24.3 MP full frame CMOS sensor produces intensively detailed images, lifelike 4K UHD video, ultra shallow depth-of-field and particularly clean low-light shots.

Super powered.
Z 5 is powered by Nikon’s fast, comprehensive EXPEED 6 image processing system. It’s the secret behind the camera’s sensational photo and video quality, autofocus performance, low-light capabilities, distortion control, image clarity, colour reproduction and more.

The stability you crave.
Sharpness starts with stability, and Z 5 has one of the best in-camera image stabilisation systems available. NIKKOR Z lenses activate 5-axis VR image stabilisation—up to five stops* of stabilisation in up to five directions: yaw, pitch, roll, X and Y. Compatible F-Mount NIKKOR lenses**—even those without built-in VR—activate 3-axis VR image stabilisation. Great for stills, even better for video.
*Based on CIPA Standards. This value is achieved when the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens is attached, with zoom set at the maximum telephoto position.
**Requires optional Mount Adapter FTZ.

In the blink of an iris.
Freeze time with shutter speeds as fast as 1/8000 of a second—fast enough to capture moments invisible to the naked eye. When shooting with wide aperture settings for shallow depth-of-field and blurred backgrounds, that speed can also be used to control your shot’s brightness.

Right. In any light.
Creativity doesn’t wait for perfect lighting, so neither does Z 5. Its ISO sensitivity goes all the way up to ISO 51,200 (expandable to ISO 102,400) with superb sharpness, detail and clarity. Keep shooting into the night, and bring a new mood to your style with the drama of low light.

Fully automatic. Totally manual.
Sometimes you need to just point and shoot. Other times you want to fine tune every little detail. Z 5 is up for either challenge, going from fully automatic to totally manual with the turn of a dial.

Go quiet.
In can’t miss moments—like weddings, speeches or performances—turn on Silent Mode and capture photo after photo without drawing any attention. This is also great for photographing pets and wildlife.

The eyes say it all.
Great portraits put focus on the eyes. Z 5’s powerful Eye-Detection Autofocus quickly finds your subject’s eyes—humans, cats and dogs alike—and puts them in sharp focus. It even follows them as they move behind objects in the frame.

Focus anywhere.
Z 5’s sensor is practically covered in focus points—273 of them, to be precise. That means wherever your subject is within the frame, there’s almost certainly a focus point locked on them.

Flash of genius.
Z 5 is compatible with Nikon’s Creative Lighting System. Fill in shadows, make subjects stand out, enhance natural light and add artistry with an optional external Nikon Speedlight flash.

You see it. You get it.
See your shot clearly through Z 5’s outstanding electronic viewfinder. It activates when you put your eye to it, offering a high-resolution glare-free view of how your shot will actually look—exposure, ISO, white balance and Picture Controls are all visible in realtime.

Two for the road.
Z 5 includes dual UHS-II SD card slots. Use them together for overflow storage, automatic back up or separating file types like RAW and JPEG or stills and videos.

Works with Z-Mount lenses.
Built around Nikon’s revolutionary Z mount, Z 5 is compatible with every cutting-edge NIKKOR Z lens, from the highly acclaimed NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S walkaround prime lens to the telephoto powerhouse NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S.

Works with F-Mount lenses.
Attach the optional Mount Adapter FTZ and extend full compatibility to over 90* F-Mount NIKKOR lenses: full frame fisheye lenses, macro lenses, fast primes, super telephoto zooms and everything in between.
*Approximately 360 classic F-Mount NIKKOR lenses can be used with varying compatibility.

Tweak. Shoot. Create.
Add another element of uniqueness and artistry to your photos and videos with 20 Creative Picture Controls, all visible in real time while you shoot, either through the viewfinder or on the tilting touchscreen display.

Multiply your vision.
Combine multiple photos into one radical creation. This can be done in real time by composing and combining consecutive shots, or it can be done later by previewing and combining shots you already took.

Shift your focus.
Focus Shift Shooting Mode automatically takes a series of images (up to 300) while advancing the focus position in each shot. These images can then be stacked* into a single image with surreal depth of field—great for shooting jewellery, products, landscapes and still subjects.

A bridge to the world.
If you shoot and share (who doesn’t?), you’ll love the convenience of Nikon’s highly rated SnapBridge app for iOS and Android™. It turns your compatible smartphone or tablet into a powerful accessory for Z 5, making it easier than ever to take, edit and share amazing photos.

Easy pairing. Easy sharing.
Connect to Z 5 from the SnapBridge app once, and your phone and camera are bonded for life. You can transfer photos manually, or set the app to automatically import every shot you take.

Remotecontrol.
When you can’t be behind the camera, pull out your phone and use it to control Z 5. See what the camera sees, change camera settings like aperture and shutter speed, then take the photo or video.
Setup is a snap.
1. Open the SnapBridge app
2. Tap Remote Photography
3. Allow phone to switch to Wi-Fi®
4. Start capturing photos and videos!

As app-friendly as it gets.
Bring your Z 5 shots into your favourite photo and video apps for retouching, adding filters, editing, using in your stories and more—just like you would with your phone pictures.

Go wireless. PC or Mac.
With Z 5, you can transfer your images directly to a Mac or PC over Wi-Fi.* That means no card readers or USB cables needed to download your photos and videos.

Your entry to video.
Z 5 records beautiful videos. Shoot 4K Ultra HD footage using all the advantages of mirrorless technology and the Z system’s high-performance optics.

Timelapse made easy.
Z 5 makes it easy to create beautiful timelapse movies. Set up Z 5 on a tripod or stable surface, compose your shot, set your time interval and number of shots and let the camera do the rest. You can simultaneously create your timelapse movie in-camera and save the full resolution stills. And for longer shoots, power Z 5 with the optional USB Type C cable (UC-E25) and any compatible power bank.

Up your live stream.
Great content deserves a great-looking live stream. With the Z 5, you’ll get incredible sharpness, amazing clarity, and flattering depth of field when you use it with compatible webcam software and/or hardware (sold separately). Discover next-level quality when streaming on social, gaming, and web conference platforms.

Outer toughness.
Z 5 is weather sealed against dust, dirt and moisture, especially around all moving parts and buttons. This is a camera designed to be used wherever your inspiration takes you.

Tilt. Touch. Swipe. Pinch
Navigate Z 5 as easily as you navigate your phone. A beautiful 3.2-inch 1040K-dot high resolution tilting touchscreen makes it easy to compose shots from interesting angles, preview effects, zoom into photos, change camera settings and more.

Inner strength.
The skeleton of Z 5 is forged from magnesium alloy, the same material used in Nikon’s professional cameras. It strikes an optimal balance of durability and lightness.

Power up.
Z 5 is compatible with the optional MB-N10 multi-battery power pack for up to 1.8X (CIPA standard) more shooting time than using just the camera’s battery. It’s designed with the same extensive weather sealing as Z 5 and is a balanced, comfortable addition. You can even hot swap batteries mid-shooting without losing power.

Power. Charge. Transfer.
Provide constant power to Z 5 when recording video or shooting timelapse sequences, connect to a computer and even charge your battery with the optional USB Type C cable (UC-E25).*
*For optimal performance, an external power bank like Anker1 PowerCore+ 26800 mAh Portable Charger is recommended.
