Nikon 40x/50x Wide DS Eyepiece

The Nikon 40x/50x Wide DS Eyepiece is a premium quality wide angle eyepiece. It's designed to fit the same body of Nikon Fieldscope Spotting Scopes as the standard 40x eyepiece, but provides a wider field of view.

The wide field of view, combined with the excellent optical quality of this eyepiece, makes it ideal for viewing objects closer to the horizon. It offers a 72° apparent field of view and 27x magnification with the 50mm scope, 40x with the 60mm scope, and 50x with the 82mm scope.

This premium product is waterproof, fogproof and nitrogen purged to prevent internal fogging and moisture build-up during long periods of storage or use in damp conditions.

Dedicated eyepiece with wide angular field of view. Enables digiscoping with certain Nikon COOLPIX and digital SLR cameras, and the Fieldscope III, EDIII, ED82 and ED50. Features an advanced multilayer lens coating for superior light transmission and clear, high resolution images. Magnification: 24x when attached to a Fieldscope III or EDIII; 30x when attached to a Fieldscope ED82; and 16x when attached to a Fieldscope ED50.
