Automated Advancing Mechanism significantly reduces the time and effort involved in film scanning by automatically advancing the film through the carrier after each frame is scanned. The precision dial adjustment allows for fine-tuning the position of the film, ensuring each frame is perfectly aligned for scanning, thereby maximizing the quality of the resultant digital images. The Film Carrier 35MD combines the Film Carrier MK1 with an automated advancing mechanism for speeding up your workflow.

Speed Up Your Workflow
Using the latest stepper motor drivers, the Film Carrier 35MD quickly advances between frames in as little as .5 seconds while providing the ability to program custom frame spacing. While our focus was on precision and film safety, our goal with the 35MD was to provide those doing high volumes a quicker mode of operation to speed up workflows. Jumping between frames takes just .5 seconds, and capturing a frame and advancing takes just 2 seconds.

Remotely Control Scanning
Combining forward, advance, and precision dial adjustment with a shutter quick release, the Film Carrier 35MD allows you to step between frames automatically with the push of a button. Once the first frame is centered using the dial, pressing the center button triggers any camera attached via the included 2.5mm shutter cable or via the included USB-C/A adapter. After your camera is triggered, the motor drive then advances to the next frame, ready for you to capture the next image. 

Built On a Solid System
By building the original Film Carrier MK1 from the ground up as a motorized platform, we were able to create the foundation for a system that can power labs and advanced users alike. Scanning Hood
Available as an included accessory with the Film Carrier 35MD system, or on its own, the new Scanning Hood provides you with the ability to block out extraneous light in your scanning setup. This provides you with more contrast and less glare in well lit scanning settings or on more dense negatives. 

Shutter Button
For those that are looking to speed up their scanning workflows, but don’t need the motorized capabilities of the Film Carrier 35MD, the Negative Supply Shutter Button provides you with a convenient way to trigger cameras using a 2.5mm plug. Alternatively, for those tethering, it is available with USB-C/A support.
