The Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X 5:1 Ultra-Macro is a unique lens optimized for close-up and macro photography. It offers a magnification ratio of up to 5:1 and is capable of achieving a 5:1 magnification at a close focus distance of approximately 7.9" away from the front element, with an object size in front of the lens that measures 17.3 cm across when focused at infinity.

This ultra-macro lens is also compatible with full-frame cameras and has a focal length of 25mm, giving it an angle of view similar to normal lenses and allowing for greater working distances than other macro lenses that feature shorter focal lengths. In addition, the wide aperture allows you to isolate your subject with shallow depth of field, while enabling shooting in low-light conditions without using high ISO sensitivity settings or slow shutter speeds.

The optical design incorporates one extra-low dispersion element to reduce instances of chromatic aberrations and ensure greater color accuracy as well as sharpness. The lens barrel also features a slim design and fully manual focus operation, which can be used to create selective focus effects by emphasizing sharpness on one part of the image at the expense of others.
