Kenko Pro1 WIDE BAND CIRCULAR PL Lens Filter allows you to remove unwanted reflection from nonmetallic surfaces such as water and glass. Kenko's CIRCULAR PL uses newly developed, innovative polarizing material. WIDE BAND makes Digital SLR camera's viewfinder image color difference corrected and adopts digital multi-coat technology. These filters attain an overall filter transparency of 99% (protector) with a minimum price premium. Available in sizes 49, 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, 77, and 82 mm.

Digital Multi-Coated
Digital multi-coated filters greatly reduce the appearance of lens flare and ghosting caused by reflections.

Black Almite Frame
Filters feature a black matte aluminum satin finish almite frame which reduces reflections.

Black Rimmed Glass
These filters are equipped with black rimmed glass to reduce the chance of light reflecting off the edge.

Low Profile Frame
Ultra thin filter frames to help avoid vignetting on super wide angle lenses are also designed to hold a lens cap.

Knurling Edge Frame
These filters are equipped with a straight knurling edge for non-slip, easy attachment and removal.

UV Protected Case
Filter cases are UV protected to further lengthen the life of filters.

Greatest effect of eliminating glare
Circular PL filters achieve their greatest effect of eliminating glare when used at a 30-40 degree angle to a reflective surface (like glass or water). At midday when the sun is directly overhead, or at a 90 degree angle, the filter will have the least effect. These effects are easily visible by rotating the filter and looking through the viewfinder of the camera. Keep in mind that you will first need to adjust the polarizing filter before setting the exposure controls.

Color deepening
For deepening the color of the blue sky and making the clouds jump out at you, hold the camera at a right angle to the sun and take the photo when the sun is at a 30-40 degree angle in the sky.

Light polarization
When photographing distant subjects, scenery sometimes appears bluish. This is also caused by light polarization. Using the polarizing filter will help to greatly reduce the softness caused by atmospheric haze.
