Haida Square Soft Focus Filter is used to create soft diffusion effect perfect for use to give flattering softness to portraits and landscapes and as well create a slight halo particularly effective when a dreamy, ethereal look is needed. The effect is provided through a series of lenticular protrusions which provides the diffusion. The filter is specific for use with for 83 series filter holder.

This filter is used to give flattering softness to portraits and landscapes. By using a series of fine-grade "lenticular protrusions", the light is diffused enough to create a slight halo while retaining sharpness. This effect is especially effective when photographing women and even more effective when blond hair is present since it generates highlights off the lighter hair color. This filter is also particularly effective when a dreamy, ethereal look is desired.
