Made with high quality optical glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity, the Haida 100 Series Insert Circular Polarizing Filter increases contrast between cloud and sky and yet do not affect the overall coloration of the image. It also darkens blue skies by turning them into deep rich blues. These filters fit to the Haida 100 Square Filter Holder. The filter measures 100 x 100mm. It is best for use with Manual Cameras due to its rotating frame which is not dependent on internal mechanisms to easily determine focus or metering settings.
Linear Polarizer
A linear polarizer only differs from a circular polarizer in that it does not contain a quarter wave planes that enable the use of auto focus and exposure features. Linear polarizers are best suited for use with manual cameras, such as view cameras, that are not dependent on internal mechanisms to determine focus or metering settings.
