Fujifilm unveiled the FUJINON XF56mmF1.2 R WR, the latest addition to its growing lineup of X-Mount lenses. The XF56mmF1.2 R WR is a mid-telephoto lens with a focal length equivalent to 85mm (35mm format) with a fast maximum aperture of f/1.2 that makes it ideal for portraits and low-light photography.

The XF56mmF1.2 R WR features 11 blades in its iris diaphragm, which delivers beautiful bokeh effect. Two aspherical elements and one ED glass element are incorporated into the optical design to minimize distortion and aberration for high resolution rendering with minimal edge softening even when shooting at open aperture.

The lens also features a unique optical design developed using high-refractive technology that allows for a shorter overall length than comparable lenses while maintaining the same level of performance and image quality over the entire zoom range.
