The Cokin H250 Graduated Neutral Density Kit is a pack of three Neutral Density filters; 121L (1 stop), 121M (2 stops) and 121S (3 stops). The kit also includes Cokin P Series Filter Holder. The filters are often used to balance the light intensity of a particular scene. They are also used adjust exposure without affecting the image’s color balance. Sometimes ND filters create some unique effects like capturing the blur of flowing water.

Neutral Density Filters (ND)
Designed so that absolutely no colour from the entire visible spectrum prevails, the neutral density filters can be used in many different contexts, depending on which type is used : uniform shading (square) or graduated shading (rectangular). Uniform ND filters reduce the quantity of light that reaches the sensor - or the film - increasing the exposure time. These filters have 3 main practical applications: emphasizing the flow of movement, reducing the depth of field, avoiding overexposure.
