The RF 135mm f/1.8L IS USM is a high-speed prime lens for Canon EOS R cameras. In addition to its fast f/1.8 aperture, the lens offers an optical stabilizer for handheld shooting at night, as well as an ultrasonic autofocus motor and Air Sphere Coating to reduce flare and ghosting. The lens also features Nano USM technology that allows for near-silent focusing operation, along with four focus function buttons and a control ring on the barrel that can be programmed to adjust exposure settings, white balance or focus mode. The lens is constructed from 17 elements in 12 groups with 9 rounded diaphragm blades, including Ultra-Low Dispersion Elements to help minimize chromatic aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range.
