The Canon PowerShot Golf Rangefinder is a compact, multifunction laser rangefinder designed for golfers who want precise distance measurement along with the ability to capture photos and videos of their rounds. Combining Canon's optical expertise with image stabilization and advanced ranging technology, it delivers accurate performance in a lightweight, travel-friendly design.
The PowerShot Golf Rangefinder measures distances from approximately 6.4 metres to 732 metres (7 to 800 yards), providing reliable readings for tee shots, approach shots, hazards, and practice sessions across the course.
A 6x optical view with up to 12x digital magnification allows golfers to clearly identify distant targets and accurately assess course features, making it easier to line up shots with confidence.
To maintain a steady image while viewing distant objects, the rangefinder features 2-axis optical image stabilization, helping reduce hand shake and improving target acquisition for more accurate distance measurements.
Unlike traditional golf rangefinders, the PowerShot Golf also functions as a digital camera, allowing users to capture both photos and videos directly from the course. This makes it ideal for recording memorable rounds, documenting course layouts, reviewing shots, or sharing golfing experiences.
For improved shot planning, the unit includes built-in slope compensation, which calculates elevation changes and provides adjusted distance information to help golfers make more informed club selections. This feature can be used where permitted by local rules and competition regulations.
A dedicated Flagpole Lock Function quickly identifies and locks onto the flagstick, helping distinguish it from background objects for fast and accurate pin distance measurements.
The rangefinder also offers a continuous scan mode capable of updating measurements in approximately 0.8-second intervals, making it easy to sweep across the course and measure multiple hazards, trees, bunkers, or landing areas in real time.
Power is supplied by an integrated USB-C rechargeable battery, offering convenient charging using modern USB-C cables without the need for disposable batteries.
Designed for outdoor use, the PowerShot Golf features IPX4-equivalent water resistance, providing protection against rain and water splashes commonly encountered during play.
Its compact and lightweight design allows it to fit comfortably in a pocket, golf bag, or accessory pouch, making it easy to carry throughout an entire round without adding unnecessary bulk.

1. Range may be limited by object measured or environment.
2. Straight-line measurement, based on Canon testing standards. PowerShot GOLF is a basic rangefinder; measurement results should not be used for official records or the like.
3. Utilizing 12x digital magnification results in lower image quality when equivalent to approximately 820 mm, attributed to the use of digital zoom.
4. Equipped with Optical image stabilizer to improve stills and video shooting, and the user experience of the clear view when using the Electronic Viewfinder. (CIPA standard measurement not possible)
5. Shutter speed not shown in the viewfinder
6. At eyepoint approx. 20 mm
7. Shooting mode selection not available
8. Image quality adjustment not available. Lower image quality when equivalent to approx. 820 mm, due to digital zoom.
9. Movie recording size not adjustable. Lower image quality when equivalent to approx. 820 mm, due to digital zoom.
10. USB recharging may not begin automatically if the battery is almost fully charged. For best results, recharge batteries at a temperature of 5°C to 40°C. Charging time with Canon PD-E1 is approx. 2 hour 30 mins.
11. Terminal cover must be securely closed to maintain water resistance. Although the rangefinder features water-resistant construction, this cannot completely prevent water droplets from entering the rangefinder.
12. The product's weight, including a compatible memory card and the built-in battery, based on CIPA guidelines.
