Blackmagic ATEM SDI Pro ISO

The Blackmagic ATEM SDI Pro ISO is a four-input live-production switcher with an integrated control panel, expertly designed for multi-camera live streaming up to HD video via its Ethernet output. The key "ISO" feature allows it to record the main program output, as well as the individual 3G-SDI inputs, embedded audio, and analog audio inputs to an external USB drive. Crucially, the switcher generates a DaVinci Resolve project file of your live stream, enabling you to take the entire production into DaVinci Resolve for post-production tweaks and adjustments using the recorded source material.

Retaining the same physical layout as the ATEM Mini Pro, the new electronics of the ATEM SDI Pro ISO facilitate its advanced recording capabilities. It supports all the powerful features of its predecessor, including upstream and downstream keyers, an advanced chroma keyer, a DVE transition keyer, and various generators for patterns and colors. Furthermore, it includes media player support for up to 20 stills in various formats. The switcher is controlled via the ATEM Software Control Panel, which allows for monitoring the live feed's data rate and status, and can be used to set up streaming to an optional Blackmagic Design Streaming Bridge.

Advanced ISO Recording & DaVinci Resolve Integration

By connecting a USB drive, the switcher simultaneously captures the switched program stream and up to four isolated (ISO) recordings of the input video, plus all audio and graphics. Crucially, it automatically generates a DaVinci Resolve project file of your switched program, allowing for instant editing, tweaking, and relinking to source material in post-production.

Professional Broadcast Transitions

The ATEM SDI Pro ISO includes a comprehensive array of transitions: Cut for instant switching, Mix (dissolve) for smooth blending with custom timings, Dip for fading via a color or graphic, and diverse Wipe patterns that can be customized. It also uses a powerful Digital Video Effects (DVE) processor for dynamic transitions that push, spin, or swoosh the video image.

Versatile Upstream Keying for Layering

The Upstream Keyer allows for complex video layering and compositing over virtual sets. It offers multiple keying options: Luma Key (best for high-contrast graphics), Linear Key (using separate fill and key sources for clean results), Chroma Key (for green/blue screen removal), and Pattern Key (combining live images with built-in geometric shapes).

Integrated Fairlight Audio Mixer

The built-in audio mixer provides precision control over all six available audio inputs (four SDI embedded and two analog inputs). It features selectable on/off and audio-follow-video modes per channel, separate gain control, level and peak metering, and professional Fairlight audio enhancements including a compressor, gate, limiter, and six bands of parametric EQ.

Dedicated Hardware Streaming and Control

The switcher includes a hardware encoder for direct live streaming up to 1080p HD via the Ethernet output, eliminating the need for extra streaming software. It features quick stream, on-air, and record buttons on the panel, and allows for control and configuration of timecode and stream status. It maintains the same convenient physical layout as the ATEM Mini Pro.

Comprehensive Multiview Monitoring Output

The 3G-SDI output can be configured for a detailed Software Multiview display. This view provides essential information and previews on one screen, including the Program and Preview feeds, all four 3G-SDI inputs, graphics, streaming status, recording status, and audio meters. It also includes tally light control for connected Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras.

Built-in Media Pool and Downstream Keying

The device features a Media Player that acts as an input source, capable of storing up to 20 broadcast-quality RGBA graphic files (supporting formats like PNG, TGA, BMP, and TIFF). These graphics can be overlaid onto the program output using the single Downstream Keyer to add high-quality elements like logos, bugs, and titles as the final overlay.
