There's nothing wrong with adopting a contemporary imaging approach in a package that looks like a classic. That is Nikon's statement with its D780 DSLR Camera. The versatile device features a whopping 24.5-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor that allows you to take high-resolution photographs and videos. In addition, its huge battery life allows you to take more than 2,260 stills in one full charge. Furthermore, you have huge magnification options including a 0.7x-magnification pentaprism optical viewfinder and touchscreen LCD too.

Product Features in Detail

Full Frame Apt Resolution
Packing a full-frame 24.5MP CMOS sensor allows the NIKON D780 DSLR to provide exceptional apt resolution, impressive and immediate readout speeds, and low-light performance you've never seen before in previous models. In addition, the Nikon D780 has a back-illuminated design and an EXPEED 6 image processor that helps it to achieve clear results effectively. Lastly, you get a great battery life of up to 2,260 shots.

Highest Point Hybrid AF System
With a 51-point Multi-CAM 3500 II AF Sensor, photographers can use up to 51 phase points that allow them to identify their photograph models efficiently. The system's sensitivity extends to lower EV settings and scenes. In addition, it features 15 crosspoints that guarantee greater detection accuracy even in low-contrast conditions. This is most especially useful in low-light settings. In fact, 11 of the phase points remain sensitive up to the lowest aperture value of f/8.

Scene Recognition System
In addition to the hybrid AF system, the intelligent Scene Recognition system has a 3D Color Matrix Metering III. This allows it to utilize up to 180,000 RGB pixel sensors that allow photographers to automatically evaluate and analyze scene elements such as brightness, subject distance, contrast, scene colours. Furthermore, it uses onboard reference images to ensure its results are consistent across different images for a more accurate and efficient result that adds a new depth and personality to your photographs.

An Upgrade From The Nikon Z-Series
The Nikon D780 is a huge upgrade from the D750. It still uses Nikon's signature Z6 mirrorless camera and on-sensor phase-detection system (the hybrid AF system). Furthermore, its live-view AF system can focus from -4EV up to -6EV that allows photographers to change focus accurately and evenly even in low-light settings. In addition, it borrows other elements from Z-series cameras such as high-accuracy eye-detection precision from mirrorless cameras.

Advanced Video Features
The Nikon D780 excels in video shooting with its excellent autofocus improvements. Greatly-dependable subject tracking allows photographers to capture scenes without any blurs and lower noise footage. In addition, better-looking videos get better control with the AF and touchscreen features of the D780. While shooting, you can also use the internal microphone and headphone sockets of the D780. Lastly, the N-log footage can provide your shots with optimal colour-grading flexibility. Hybrid Log-Gamma allows your unit to have a ready-to-use video format with a high dynamic range.

Time Lapse
Nikon has made an effort to make the D780 feature friendly when it comes to time-lapse videos. With its "Interval Timer Shooting" mode, you have more control over the "Time-Lapse Movie" option found in older Nikon models. In doing so, you can superimpose already-shot images and use the multiple-exposure feature to provide additional depth to create consistency with your time-lapse movie.
