Terms and Conditions of Use
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE.
Welcome to Camera Warehouse. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Website Disclaimer. These Terms govern your use of this website and any purchase of goods or services from Camera Warehouse.
Pricing, Product Information & Order Acceptance
Pricing
All prices on this website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless stated otherwise. Prices are current at the time of display but may change without notice.
While we take reasonable care to ensure pricing and product information is accurate, errors may occur and supplier pricing or costs may change without notice. Camera Warehouse reserves the right to correct any errors and amend pricing at any time prior to dispatch, including after an order has been placed and paid for.
If an order has been placed and paid for, and the final selling price must change prior to dispatch (including due to a pricing error or supplier price increase), we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. You may then choose to:
- Proceed with the order at the revised price; or
- Cancel the order and receive a full refund of amounts paid.
Order Confirmation Is Not Acceptance
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. You will receive an automated email confirming that we have received your order. This order confirmation email is not an acceptance of your order and does not create a binding agreement.
Contract Formation (Dispatch)
A binding contract is formed only when your goods are dispatched (or, for services, when the service is confirmed as accepted or commenced). Until dispatch, Camera Warehouse may cancel or amend your order for any reason, including pricing errors, supplier price changes, product availability, delivery limitations, verification requirements, or suspected fraudulent activity.
If payment has been made and the order is cancelled, you will receive a refund.
Amendments to These Terms
We may change these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be published on this website. By continuing to use the website after changes are published, you agree to the updated Terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Camera Warehouse is not liable for any loss, damage, or expense (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content, including any third-party content, links, comments, or advertisements.
You are responsible for ensuring that any goods, services, or information available through this website meet your requirements. We exclude liability for inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified.
To the extent permitted by law, Camera Warehouse’s liability for a breach of a consumer guarantee is limited (at our option) to one or more of the following:
- Replacement of the goods;
- Repair of the goods;
- Supplying the goods or services again; or
- Payment of the cost of replacing, repairing, or supplying the goods or services again.
Delivery of Goods
Shipping & Delivery
Physical goods are delivered by Australia Post and/or other courier services. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on location, carrier performance, peak seasons, and product availability.
Where required under ACL, we will assist with an appropriate remedy. Replacement of items lost or damaged in transit may be assessed and handled at our discretion where permitted by law.
Digital Goods
Digital goods (where offered) are delivered electronically. Downloading digital products carries inherent risks. If you experience technical issues, please contact us and we will try to assist.
Notification of Discrepancies (7 Days)
You must inspect goods upon delivery. If any goods are missing, incorrect, or materially different from what was ordered, you must notify Camera Warehouse in writing within 7 days of receiving the goods, including your order number and supporting evidence.
If you do not notify us within this timeframe, we may not be obliged to accept the claim, except where required by law. Once confirmed, we may replace the goods, correct the order, or issue a refund or store credit as appropriate.
Returns & Refunds
Camera Warehouse handles returns and refunds in accordance with ACL and manufacturer warranty processes.
Return Authorisation Required
All returns must be authorised by Camera Warehouse before being sent. Returns received without a Return Authorisation (RA) number may be refused.
Change-of-Mind Returns (14 Days)
We are not required to accept change-of-mind returns under ACL. However, we may (at our discretion) offer a 14-day change-of-mind return on eligible items. Approved change-of-mind returns are issued as store credit only.
Returns of opened or used items may be accepted at our discretion and may be subject to a restocking fee.
Certain products are excluded from change-of-mind returns, including consumables, cameras, lenses, memory cards, software, special order items, demo stock, clearance items, and products marked “while stocks last”.
Special Order Items
Special order items may be non-returnable. Where a return is approved, it may be subject to supplier approval and/or a restocking fee.
Faulty Goods & Warranty Returns
Faulty goods are handled in accordance with ACL and manufacturer warranties. Warranty claims may require a manufacturer case number and return of all original packaging.
Compatibility
Manufacturers do not guarantee compatibility with third-party products. Incompatible but non-faulty items are assessed under the change-of-mind policy. We do not offer trial periods.
