- March 09, 2009We are pleased to announce the addition of the invisibleSHIELD™ LCD screen protector product to our range.
According to the manufacturer "The invisibleSHIELD™ is a thin, polyurethane film originally created for the military to protect the leading edge of helicopter blades. What's unique about this military-grade film is how tough it is - it doesn't scratch. Introduced in early 2005, the invisibleSHIELD is the first product of its kind. Its patent-pending, full body protection has revolutionized the industry and has changed the way people think of protecting their devices. Others have tried to imitate it and have fallen short."
So confident are they in their product that they offer a lifetime replacement guarantee. "If your invisibleSHIELD™ ever becomes scratched, torn or damaged in any way while protecting your device, we will replace the invisibleSHIELD™ for free, for life."
Not a bad offer at less than $20 for any model camera. They're also available for your iPod, mobile phone, laptop

With the popularity of Canon's EOS 5D mark II and Nikon's recent launch of the FX-sensor based D3, D700 and D3X (...drool...), is it just a matter of time before full frame sensors are fitted as standard?
There's no question that the images from any of these cameras are, on average, a large step above their more common APS-C endowed counterparts, so will consumer pressure drive manufacturer's to include 35mm frame sensors on all the models, or is this just too great a differentiator between professional and prosumer models?
Please add your comments below.

- February 24, 2009In our report yesterday on the new Canon PowerShot D10 waterproof camera we speculated that some of the other big names might also try to take a chunk out of Olympus' hold on this market and it seems that Panasonic agreed.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT1 will be available in March and is waterproof to 3m. Suitable for surf and snow photography, the DMC-FT1 boasts 12 megapixel resolution and 4.6x optical zoom, starting from a wide-angle (28mm) lens Leica Variomat lens.
Available in silver, blue and green (and perhaps orange at a later date), we expect this camera to retail at around $650.

- February 24, 2009The Hoya HD range of filters are now available. The filters are constructed from hardened glass that can withstand incredible knocks (steel balls are dropped from over 1m without the filter cracking). Special coatings further improve the filters' scratch and stain resistance, and repel water.
If you're investing in high quality SLR lenses then make sure you add a Hoya HD filter. For more information:
