Picture a fantastic scene by the beach. The sun is about the rise while the waves seem to be floating around water. Wouldn’t it be great to capture it in a photograph? However, the camera’s settings might not be enough to duplicate the drama of the view. To preserve or even enhance the image, you will need neutral density filters.
What is a Neutral Density filter?
It is a semi-transparent glass that can either be placed or screwed in front of the lens to obstruct a portion of incoming light but without affecting image contrast and sharpness. It comes in different sizes that fit various camera lens diameters. Although the image will look grey through the viewfinder, the output is impressive. Because of the reduced light, neutral density filters can trigger longer exposure times for dramatic effects such as softer water flow and emphasis on movement.
Aside from long exposure times, neutral density filters also account for a shallower depth of field which contributes to sharper subjects

With an advanced computer vision and sensing technology, the DJI Phantom 4 Quadcopter Video Camera is a worthy follow-up to the Phantom 3. It comes with an Obstacle Sensing System using two front sensors that scour for obstructions and directs the aircraft around it without deviating from its original direction. If it can’t go around or through, the Phantom 4 stops and the controller must redirect it or activate the Return to Home function to bring it back to its take-off point.
Likewise, you need not worry about tracking moving subjects such as runners or animals thanks to its ActiveTrack function. Through three-dimensional imagery, the Phantom 4 analyses how to keep the subject on frame even if it changes direction or form. Activating the ActiveTrack is as simple as tapping onto the subject via the connected DJI GO APP on a mobile device. The camera can also be moved around the subject and a pause button stops the tracking.

Once again, 3D video is making waves due to its enhanced way of telling stories. Audiences feel like they are part of the action plus they get to see scenes even closer. However, there is another video format that can give 3D a run for their money: 360-degree video. With this innovation, viewers can see not just what’s in front but also what’s behind, what’s up, and what’s down. This limitless form of video capture is set to revolutionize photography and videography because there are a variety of angles that an audience can see. As a 360-degree video plays, keyboard arrows can be used to manipulate what the viewer wants to watch. Aside from the main subject, the surrounding angles can be viewed too.
Imagine: you can drag around the video to see the competitors and the spectators at a horse race. You can navigate through footage of a roller coaster ride at better angles. The ability to explore makes it a more inclusive form of media. If 3D videos make you feel closer to the action, their
