Sony A1 Price and Release Date

Sony's grip on the mirrorless market just got even tighter.
This flagship camera shatters my understanding of what a camera can do.
Announced just this morning, with a predicted release of late February to early March, this is a camera that will surely be ahead of the competition for years to come.

Prices are looking at around $10,000 (we've got it listed for $9,888)
Considering that the A9 II retails for $7,000 - you could easily list enough additions to bump up to a 5 figure price tag.

We are looking forward to more reviews of hands-on use, but for now, we can look at the lists of specifications to understand why they've reserved the name 'A1' for this monster camera.

• 50 megapixels - max resolution 8640 x 5760 with a continuous drive of 30FPS
• 8k video
• 4k video at 120FPS
• Boosted ISO 50 - 102400
• 5.5 stops of image stabilization
• 759 points of Auto Focus - this also has Sony's latest eye detect which is so fast - so accurate - you have to try it. 
• A tilting 1,440,000 dot, 3 inch LCD that is keeping within the profile of the camera. (I personally prefer this design for photography)
