The Sony E-Mount FE 70-200mm f/2.8 G Master Zoom Lens is a Full Frame format lens with a 35mm focal length equivalent of 105-300mm. It also performs well under low-light settings due to its f/2.8 maximum aperture. Constructed with 23 lens elements in 18 groups, it features two Aspherical Lens Elements that reduce spherical aberrations and four Extra-Low Dispersion Glass Elements to eliminate chromatic aberrations. Image blur due to camera shake is reduced by the Optical Steadyshot Image Stabilization. Meanwhile, the Nano AR and Flourine Coating filters out unwanted light reflections inside the barrel. Equipped with Linear Focus Supersonic Wave Motor for quick and accurate focusing, you can also use the Focus Range Limiter for precise adjustments. Amazing bokeh effects can also be achieved through the eleven-blade circular diaphragm. Compatible with Sony E-Mount Cameras, the Sony E-Mount FE 70-200mm f/2.8 G Master Zoom Lens has a 77mm filter diameter.

Class-leading close-up performance with a minimum focusing distance of 0.96 m and 0.25x maximum magnification is ideal for portraits, telephoto macro, and more. Two heavy focus groups are rapidly and precisely positioned by separate actuators: a powerful ring SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor) actuator for the front group, and a double linear motor actuator for the rear group. Improved positioning precision works with real-time feedback from multiple position sensors to allow the body’s AF system to operate at full capacity.

Further refinements for spot-on movie AF
The focusing system’s double linear motor takes on the vital role of providing “wobbling” actuation for the AF contrast detection system when shooting video. An optical design that effectively minimizes focus breathing plus quiet mechanical operation further adds to focusing performance that is ideal for movies as well as stills.
