Based on RØDE's NTG3 shotgun microphone, NTG8 has a superior broadcast sound quality RF-bias true condenser, making it an option when recording in any demanding environments where condensation is an issue. It delivers highly directional polar response with extremely low handling noise in a supercardiod polar pattern designed to withstand adverse environmental conditions. NTG-8 has a high level of immunity to radio frequency interference and provides True Condenser (external RF biased) technology with high Sensitivity.

Low self-noise, natural sound
Like the NTG3, the NTG8 features low self-noise, natural sound without colouration both on and off-axis, and RF bias technology to ensure that it is almost completely resistant to high humidity environments which could cause other condenser microphones to fail.

Specially designed shock mount (SM8)
The NTG8 is finished in matte black and supplied with a specially designed shock mount (SM8) that is engineered to provide excellent handling noise isolation, cable management and versatile mounting options for the microphone.

Weatherproof aluminium cylinder
