Panasonic Lumix S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Macro OIS Lens

The Panasonic Lumix S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Macro OIS Lens is a lens for serious photographers. It gives the photographer a lot of flexibility that wide and long zooms don't give you. Plus, it is just as sharp as the widest zoom Panasonic makes up to 300mm at f/5.6.

It uses an internal motor to focus which means very fast AF speed along with full time manual focus override if desired. The large zoom ring is smooth and has a nice amount of resistance. It's also much easier to control the focal length with this zoom versus Panasonic's other long zooms due to having a little less range (70-300mm vs 70-400mm).

The focus ring has just the right amount of resistance as well—very easy to make slight adjustments, but not too loose when trying to fine-tune.  

There's an optional LH-87 Lens Hood for this lens which should provide protection from flares when you are shooting towards the sun or other bright light sources.
