Sporting an ergonomic design for a comfortable hold, the Panasonic DC-G9 Battery Grip DMW-BGG9 attaches to the camera via the 1/4"-20 tripod mount thread. It holds an extra DMW-BLF19 battery which gives you a longer time for shooting. When shooting portaits, the vertical shutter release and control buttons allows smoother operation. This splashproof and dustproof battery grip can also withstand harsh weather for it is freezeproof for up to -10°C.

By using two batteries - one in the camera and the other in the grip, the DMW-BGG9 doubles the battery life for extended shooting.
