Better light control
If you are using an external strobe or flash, the camera's built-in flash can cause unwanted backscatter and glaring due to excess light. Thus, you can have this cover in place to cancel the camera flash's light out.

The two holes in the flash cover allow access to the underwater housing's dual fiber optic cable ports to not disrupt the set-up with external camera flashes.

Compatibility
