An exceptional lens for shooting night scenes, the 9 elements in 6 groups (including 2 aspherical lens elements) filters the point light sources like city lights as fine as the 9 (rounded diaphragm opening) all the way to the edge of the frame. Bokeh is intricately smooth with no rough edges, which makes this a great lens for portraits as well. It is compatible with APS-C and Full Frame Sensor DSLR Cameras.

Soft-focus shots of point light sources create regular polygonal shapes that reflect the shape of the opening created by the diaphragm blades. A rounded diaphragm uses blades designed to create a circular opening for a more beautiful soft-focus effect.
