This Nikon DSLR lens is also equipped with a Stepping Motor Autofocus for quiet AF. Image ghosting and flaring is also reduced by the integrated coating. The lens' 70-300mm focal length has a 35mm equivalent of 105-450mm.
Extra-low dispersion lens
The single ED element reduces chromatic aberations which translate to sharper images with better colour quality. Likewise, this element reduces the lens' weight to make it easier to transport.
Smooth and fast autofocus
Using a pulse motor (utilizing stepping motors) that focuses fast and silent, it brings subjects into focus precisely in lesser time. The same AF works during video recording so you can shift focus with no disruptive noise.
Quick switch to Manual to Auto and vice versa
Select NIKKOR lenses have a focusing mode which allows switching from automatic to manual focusing with virtually no lag time by simply turning the focusing ring on the lens. This makes it possible to seamlessly switch to fine manual focusing while looking through the viewfinder.
Control in the camera
