Sony is on a roll with its newest release to date with the Sony Cyber-shot RX 100 VI. By now, we know that the Sony Cyber-shot line always knows how to pack light with its heavy and impressive features. This seemingly compact camera has a secret though. And we’re here to get down to the nitty gritty on what makes the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VI the newest camera to make it into your gadget arsenal.

While we still admire its predecessors, this true next-gen Sony RX model makes for a good companion with its improved features. A relatively large 20.1MP 1” Exmor RS stacked CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor that takes sharp and clean impressive imagery with sensitivities from ISO 80-12800. The same processor as the full-frame A9 thus making it possible to perform continuous shooting at up to 24fps and an autofocus speed of 0.03 seconds.

What really makes the Mark VI impressive among its contemporaries is that for such a compact point-and-shoot camera, it boasts a Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 24-200mm f/2.8-4.5 lens with eight aspherical elements that can reduce distortion throughout the entire range. We wouldn’t have guessed that such a camera can contain a zoom lens no less! The DSCRX100M6, is almost like the A7 III that can fit in your pocket, making you always ready to shoot wherever you are in the world.

Not one to forget its video capability features, the RX100 VI delivers with UHD 4K video at up to 30p, at a maximum bitrate of 100 Mbps. The 4K video is oversampled from 5K, and the entire sensor area captures very clean and detailed footage. High definition 1080p footage is also possible at up to 120fps. High frame rate modes are also available with up to 960 fps capture.

The Sony Cyber-shot RX 100 series has truly come a long way since its debut in 2012. And we can’t wait for you to get your hands on the RX100VI.  if you want to secure a unit, call us on (02) 9558 3116 or send us an email to sales@camera-warehouse.com.au.
