The Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Zero-D (Black) for Z-Mount is a full-frame ultra-wide-angle lens that offers a 122° angle of view, and a fast f/2.8 maximum aperture. The lens is constructed with 16 elements in 10 groups and also features 3 extra-low dispersion glass and 2 aspherical elements which help to control chromatic aberrations, distortion, and spherical aberration while providing high image quality over the entire aperture range. The bokeh is smooth and pleasant thanks to the seven rounded blades in the aperture design, which also helps create beautiful starbursts when working with highlight subjects or when capturing images at night. The lens has an electrostatic coating applied to its front element to keep it clean while preventing dust from sticking to it - this feature makes it easier to clean the lens without worrying about damaging any coatings that may have been applied during manufacture. The Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Zero-D (Black) for Z-Mount also comes with a petal-shaped lens hood that provides some protection from unwanted light sources such as direct sunlight or bright studio flash units.
